Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Renewal

I’m happy to share that I’ve earned a three-year renewal of my Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I originally earned the PCC designation in December 2020.
The ICF renewal process is every three years and requires continuing education credits to maintain certification, as well as adherence to the ICF Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct while following ICF’s definition of coaching. Additionally, a minimum of 500 coaching hours is required to achieve a PCC credential. When I first started coaching, that requirement seemed daunting. Today, I’m closing in on 1,900 hours of coaching as an executive coach, partnering with directors, VP’s, C-Suite leaders, and their teams across various industries.
Personally, I’ve grown so much through coaching, starting with going through the process myself in 2003. My own experience was so impactful that it propelled me to participate in internal coach training in 2013-14 during my tenure at Medtronic. Coaching within Medtronic inspired me to pursue it externally as my next career: I retired early and committed myself to becoming an ICF certified coach, starting my own coaching practice in 2017.
Coaching has taught me so much, not only through the training and continuing education to attain my PCC renewal, but also from the many clients I’ve partnered with since starting my coaching journey.
Being a PCC enables me to fulfill my purpose-driven goal—I am the link that helps people and organizations achieve success. I am gratified to have earned this ICF renewal through 2029.
